is the distance important for selection? (I'm put up in R.T. Nagar)

@biradarash There wont be any interview/interactive sessions for your kid. Yes.... distance would be a matter. any how R.T nagar is nearer to Sophia's. But luck plays an important part...

Am planning to shift to Bangalore from Mumbai, it wl be the end of feb by the time I finalize on accomodation. So in such a scenario how do I get the form, I wont be having any address proof as of now...

how about the documents.... what documents are they looking for...  I mean the mandatory ones (apart from the Birth Certificate, Address proof)... 

really appreciate your inputs....  and I agree that luck plays a very important part (even if you are kid is really very smart.....  I have experienced it.... )

@Shiba: You need to collect the Application form on jan. No need to submit the documents while getting applicaition form. You need to submit all the necessarry documents at the time of form submission

@ChitraManjunath: They have 2 batches 8-11 AM and 11.30AM to 2.30PM. After admission you can request for the suitable timings

@biradarash: Mandatory Doc's - Birth Certificate, Address proof, ID Proof (original+photocopy at the time of admission) of the parents. It should be Bangalore address. 

NOTE: DONT GIVE FAKE DOCUMENTS, DONT EVER THINK OF DOING THAT

1. Income Tax Pan Card is a Must

2. Ration Card

3. Saving Pass Book

4. Life Insurance Corporation Policy

5. Election Identity Card

6. Driving Licence

7. Passport, Electiricity Bill, Telephone Bill, Water bill/Gas connection record in favour of the Parents

8. Corporation, Hospital Birth Certificate

9. Two Passport size photographs of the parents

10. Baptism Certificate & Church Family Record Book (Catholics Only)

11. Bank Draft

Only the Pan Card is a must

Most of these documents are usually asked for as alternatives instead of each other - for ID proof, address etc. Any ideas?

General question:

Would the parent's profession be considered in the selection criteria ?

My daughter would be 4 yrs and 3 month as on 31 st Aug 2012.. Any idea if she stands a chance to get an admission for nursery in Sophia's. My daughter had started speaking late so could not enrol last year.... Though  nos she speaks quite well, and is well versed with most of the topics.... I am confused... Please help..

today i happened to check the notice pasted outside sophia school....   the child should have completed 3 yrs (NOT 4) by 31st August....

I am not aware of this. you can check with somebody who's kid is already in this school. Also, it would be better to keep a check on other schools too.

This is admission process is new for me. so dont have much knowledge on the selection criteria. if you get to know, please update.

@ dharmajrb thank u so much for all the information... I checked their notice, its written as jan 2nd from 12 to 3 pm, so is it ok to be thr by 12 or shud we go well in advance like i hav heard ppl q up early in the morning for forms???

and regarding the documents we hav birth certificate of our daughter and rental agreement as the address proof...will that do? and our id proofs like passports, driving licences does nt hav the bangalore address...shud i worry?
