Information on Indira National School, Wakad - Page 1

Can anybody tell me about this  school - Indira National School, Wakad ?

One of my friends told me they charge 1 lakh per annum as fees.

 I visited Inidira 2 days before. They have their admission test on jan9th. They charge around 60 -70 p.a including food. The campus is very good. I didn't get any information about the teaching aspect. If anybody could share their experience it would be great.

They charge around 42, 000 Rs ,apart from transportation.

For transportation they charge Rs.1200  a  month.

  Can u pls share ur experience about the teaching in INS. Lot of kids go to INS from my society and everybody seems to be very happy with the school.  I am trying for my kids.

 Regarding the uniform every school charges in the same way. The quality of the material is not good. We end up in spending again for the whole set of uniform because the whole set goes bad within a couple of months. I remember during my school days my parents never used to spend for  uniform every year like this.

I feel there is no other option of any good cbse schools around this area.

Which class ur kid is in? Mainly i need information about the higher classes 5th and up. Thanks a lot in advance.

Please can you let us know the present Fee for Indira National School? What is the total expenditure for whole yrs. including everything such as Tuition, Term, Examination fee + Library, Sport fee + Transport + Uniform and books.

It seems Indira National National Schools doesn't have pre primary classes. Is Indirakids part of INS, and getting admission in Indirakids gives assurance of getting admission in INS. There is no point in getting admission to Indirakids if getting admission to INS is not promised.

@Vicky80: No, there is no guarantee that if your kid is studying in Indira Kids, that he/she will surely get admission in INS. Specially if you happen to miss the date, even by a single day.

All the extra money paid in Indira Kids will be wasted. Also, I'm not convienced that kids studying there will be able to clear written exams, without parents putting in extra effort. And if parent's have to do so, why to put them in a school that's charging much more than some other schools?

I thought there are no written exams or interviews for Indirakids students applying for INS, Indiakids students just get option to get enrolled before formal admission process beguns for rest of the kids.

@Vicky: Yes, there is no exam/interview for Indira Kids, as long as you are not late. If you are late even by a single day (before admission is open for other school students), don't expect any preference from INS.

thanks nrs. and is the same rule applicable for students coming in from other pre schools. I mean no exam/interview for non Indira kids students as well? Do they just shortlist students based on FCFS basis.

@Vicky: Students coming from other pre-schools & from Indira Kids(after the last date to admit Indira Kids students has passed), they all have to sit for a written test & the list of selected students doesn't give any preference to Indira Kids students.

They also don't tell the marks secured by the students. Nor does the questions given in exam are known to the parents.

Also, studying in Indira Kids doesn't give any guarantee that the kid will be able to clear the exam. As, I feel the teachers there don't expect the kid to be appearing for any written exam & hence seems to be a bit relaxed in their teaching and evaluation.

thanks nrs. got it, so basically if you apply for INS through Indirakids in desired period you get the admission without written exam otherwise we've to sit for writtern exam and clear it along with rest of the students coming in from various other schools.
