Hi

Any feedback about Sindhi Model School? How is the focus on academics and extra-curricular activities? Teacher: Student ratio?

How would you compare the school with Maharishi? BVB Rajajividyashram?

Thanks

Hi,

I had applied for all 4 CBSE schools in Kilpauk area for my kid (Sindhimodel, Chinmaya, Bhavans and Maharishi)..  The feedback I got was that Sindhi model seems to be good in infrastructure but very much focussed on discipline and make kids write a lot..  But considering the equitary education scheme, there is a lot of queue up for the CBSE schools, better that we get in any one..

I just got the admission letter from Sindhi Model and they have mentioned that we need to pay the fees by tomorrow Rs.36000 failing which the seat may be alloted to some one else.

I am still waiting for Bhavan's result since it is very near my house also. I am still very confused. Anyone else got admission in Sindhi Model??

I too got in Sindhi model.. Sindhi model is more focussed on academics with very good infra and importance to prayers/meditation.. but I had already paid the amount in Maharishi.. Pls check for any options of withdrawal of admission if you happen to get in Bhavans or Chinmaya..

Hi Sowmiyaa,

We did not go for any recommendation and went on with the normal procedures of application and interview.. Fortunately, my kid had answered well.. They have displayed in MVM that the following parameters are considered..

1. The child's age - must complete 3 years and 6 months as on March of the acedemic year.

2. Qualification & Income of parents

3. Distance from school (preferably less than 5 km)

4. Child's Performance in the interview (basic things like identifying animals, colors, shapes, reply for questions like father's/mother's/school's name, what did you have for breakfast etc, and narration of  rhymes)

5. If there are too many children matching the criteria, they put them into lucky draw and select the desired count in presence of committee members and few parents

I think these are few seats apart from the committee/trust/board/VVIP/Sibling/alumini quota seats..

In Sindhi model also, we were in the interview on 15th and the same normal procedure similar to MVM was asked but the they seemed to be more particular on the education of the mother of the kid and preferably should be a home maker..

Hope this clarifies..

As per the information I got, letter didn't talk about the donation and it is mentioned a fees (Books, uniform...etc...).

Maharishi and Sindhi model is considering the distance first.

Hi kannan,

We are also meeting all the criteria.

Both of us Post graduates, kid answered well. Homemaker etc..... But still, we have not listed for sindhi!!!

Pavanya may be correct they are looking for distance or draw.

Hi Sowmiyaa,

Already paid fees for MVM as they seem to give more importance in extra-curricular activities, discipline, yoga and sports...

i had applied only for bhavans and sindhi model. I got this information that bhavans is too difficult to get - very high recommendations needed.

r there any other good cbse schools in and around kilpauk (anna nagar also ok) that hasnt still given the application forms for lkg.

what abt SBOA?? how is the school?

To anuvijey

SBOA is a matriculation and not CBSE school.

Have you paid fees in Sindhi model since you got admission letter yesterday. ??

Actually my husband is an alumni member of Bhavans and also our house is walkable distance from Bhavans

We were told these are the criteria they see.

So hoping for the best

Few of my neighbor got the admission letter in Sindhi. They requested the management to give time for making the payment until Friday to see the Bhavan's list, but the management denied the request.

Management said that they would move on to the next kid who is eligible.

All the best for Bhavan’s.

Yes Sindhi seem to be strict in their criteria.. But the TAT given by schools to pay the fees seem to be very less (releasing list on saturday and fees to be paid by monday is tough..) but no other go...
