my son is an hyperactive 2.8 year old who just doesnt love to sit at one place. We've put him into a montessori for 4 hrs in the morning. after coming back he has his lunch and goes to sleep. he's usually awake by 5 5.30 in the evening. i have been thinking of engaging him in some other extra curricular activities for him outside home. i do take him to the park almost daily but want to engage him somewhere else. any ideas or suggestions as to what i can engage him. any classes, toy libraries in and around yelahanka new town where i can take him. plz suggest.

even my son is the same. he is 3.5 years now. but since the time he started moving he has been an hyperactive kid. even today he dosent sit in one place. but dont worry too much about it...becoz even i used to feel that i should keep him engaged. when he was 2.5 years i put in dance class. he went for 3 months and after that he started crying..so i stopped the dance class. then after he completed 3 years i put him drawing class. here too he went for sometime and then lost his interest. now he is not going to any of the classes. He goes to school in morning and evening he goes down to play thats it. I have decided i will put him after 4 years now.
I would suggest rite now dont put him in any of the classes. you cannot find out his interests rite now as they keep changing. this is only age when they can enjoy their life. after two years he is going to be under pressure - school, studies, classes.

you can use these activities with him rather than sending him somewhere outside.
