According to Indian law the schools should not insist on the education of the parents.Neither did Bill Gates complete school not did Dhirubhai Ambani. But you sure know how our Indian law operates!

Sri1985,

As Pavit said ....no law states that a school shd admit a child based on the parents education.....but still such law prevails in private schools. Since u want ur child to go in one of the best schools....you shd be prepared for such kinda question.

There is no   BEST SCHOOL......as such......the same best school for other parent may be worst school cos of the experience one has.......so . ....all schools are the same. Its ur kid who has to prove himself or herself.

Schools which stress on parents education probably feel that only highly educated parents can raise a civilized child. And you both are educated that is enough for a school to know that u can cultivate the good in ur kid.
