Hi,

I consulted this Dr, sometime back for my 3.5yr old son. She was suggested by a colleague. Her clinic -"Turning Point" is in Jayanagar. She was quite good in assessing my child. You can try there. There is one more clinic - FIVE. You can try here also. Contact numbers can be obtained from net.

Regards.

No Dr.Sulata Shenoy is not working for FIVE. As I mentioned, here clinic is "Turning Point". I just gave another option if you are looking for child psycologists.

If you are looking for an expert assessment, you can go to Dr.Sulatha Shenoy. FIVE is more like, treatment oriented. They also do assessments and accordingly go for therapies. But it is always preferable to take multiple opinions. So if possible, you can go to both and get your child assessed.

I am not sure of the problem in your case though. For my child, we initially went for an overall assessment to Dr.Sulatha Shenoy. Then recently, started Speech Therapy at FIVE as his speech is not clear. He is improving well now.

I hope I could answer your queries.

Hi Anthu,

Thanks once again for the reply..I want to go to an expert and I believe Dr Sulata is quite senior n experienced...I want an accurate diagnosis..My child is struggling with speech ..

I was also recommended Nimhans by many..But I havent heard too many good thngs abt it...Plus if the crowd is too much, then the long wait can make anyone mad..After this long wait,if the child is assessed, then the kid may not respond, which will inturn have an impact on the diagnosis......

Thank u v much..Ur reply fuelled trust in me which was the need of the hour...Neethi

Just one more suggestion, I have also heard about Nimhans. One of my colleague has suggested this as well. And I think a good doctor will diagnise thechild if we have a recomendation. So if you have one, please try there. My colleague could directly get an appointment with the HOD of Nimhans which turned out to be very good.

But since we didnt have any, we went to Dr.Sulata. One point to note is these private organizations, are a bit expensive. So choose a good therapy centre. Else it might be a loss. All the best for you.
