writing prblem - Page 1

my kid is 3 1/2 years old. studied in nursery kidzee. i an not able to create interest him in writing abc or 123. he doesn't want to write. pls suggest what to do

Writing will develop once he starts scribbling...try asking him to draws some pics with pencils...like free writing....and appreciate all his efforts relating it to some image(that pic might not even require to be so)...

that might develop his interest in writing/drawing some stuff...which slowly can be shaped into ABC or 123....

when he 2 1/2 years old , he strats  drawing sun moon car bus , something his imagination( i am not able to recognise it) . but stil not want to write abc....

i guess you should not emphasis that you want him to STUDY, since this word sometimes make them paranoid. try to make studies fun like making letters or numbers on magic slate or trying to make them with clay, etc. this will develop his interest. Initially you should start with making him recognise letters and words and then graduate towards writing. it is difficult for kids to write something they cannot relate to.

when he draws sun, moon, etc. he knows what they are and can relate to them, but he doesnt understand why should he make a, b, c or 1, 2, 3

my son 3.10 years also dislikes to write, he feels studying is boring. So we have made a schedule that out of 7 days, three days will be writing and dancing, 2 days drawing, reading and reciting songs and peoms and 2 days no studies. This schedule makes him a little stress free and at the same time he enjoys what he is doing.
