this is too much. i don't understand what these ppl have been doing all these days.probably too busy selling admission forms and counting the money made by doing so.

this year, looks like ppl getting selected will get a personal call/invitation from the "man of the moment". otherwise, why is there this issue of his been not in town and the postponement of admn. results.

I called NPS inr yest and the lady on the ph mentioned the admission process is yet to start and asked me to call after Dec 15th. These people were the first ones to issue applications and I wonder what is taking them so long.

Has anyone ever posted a first - hand experience of getting a call from NPS indiranagar and getting an admission there ... ? I dont seem to come across any...though there are many such experiences posted by parents trying in other schools including NHPS, even one for NPS RajajiNagar. I think days will pass of like this only and suddenly probably after 10th or 15th if we call them we will hear that all the selected parents have already been informed. If the admission "process" was in place, they could have come up with a published list of selected students rather than  secretly  "calling the parents"...isnt it ?

The school@ Bangalore should make the selection process transparent. If its money, then so be it.

Hello folks,

like evenone i too had taken the application form NPS for my son. i was told i be getting call in the first week of dec.....so i happd to wait for couple of days for the call frm school. finally i decided to visit the school on 4th of dec. i had a detail chat with the school ppl and the information given to me was evrey year intake is abt 60 sudents for LKG & 30 students for mont 1 and most of the seats are passed to the sibblings studing in the same school. I was told that entire 60 seats are gone to younger sibblings of the same school and there are around 47 students pending in the waiting list. So if your child is already studying the same school your chances of securing seat in NPS is high.

cheers

p9,

So the entire 60 seats for LKG and entire 30 seats of mont-1 have gone to sibling quota ? What is the point in distributing the application forms to general public then ? Why did they do that ? Did they say anything about that ?

I just called the school. I could hear one contradicting statement...

"Nothing is finalised yet. Sir is not in town. Probably this month end or early next month we will finailse."

This is what I heard from them...  I dont know how we have to take this. :(

yes, this is the same with NPS rajajinagar also, they told that the admission will be finalized by this week but today they say it will be done by Nov 15th.

I really believe the school as already started contacting the shortlisted students and for the other they are keeping in dark. Finally they end up saying that the admission are all over.

All I can say is the manner with which this whole thing is handled by the school is extremely unprofessional and unethical too. We should stop giving importance to such a weird and opaque institute.

guys...let us not come to any conclusion too fast...reason for the delay could be as simple as they focusing on their golden jubilee functions at rajajinagar nps...which to them it is a great achievement...i know the kids studying there have been preparing for this for months...it started last weekend (were i think governor also attended) and concludes this friday...so i guess the whole admission process will gain momentum starting from next week...i personally feel we must give them some space and time to celebrate their achievement along with their school kids.

The delay is understantable and ok if they communicate it tranparently which they are not (and historically have not also as it seems).

my husband too visited the school on 4th dec. He was told " sorry sir but you will have to wait as we will call only in Jan"

Nothing abt all the seats being given to siblings etc. Dont know why different answers are given to different parents?

I agree completely with what srs is saying. The school should not be taking this long to start the admission process. Today i called the school and the lady on the other end just said it will take time, she did not even mention a date by when it will start. Looks like they themselves do not know how the seat selection will take place or the seat selection is already over? I think the school should be more transperant like the other schools about the admission procedure.

Going by very limitted number of intake that NPS takes for Mont and LKG (30 and 60 respectively) and considering sibling quota (especially for Indira Nagar as it is old compared to HSR and Kora) it is prudent to get admission into, at least, one another school if you don't have your older kid studying there. I did the same!

like many of you, i too am waiting to hear from NPS asap, so that we can decide on some other school, if not NPS.

I wanted to know, how many of you are thinking of/ having a back up school (ie. where a huge chuck of fees already paid), say school B, if nps doesn't call. Should we pay the admn fees in school B, wait for nps to call. If we get a call from NPS, then decide whether to waste the money spent on school B and switch to NPS, or reluctantly carry on with school B.

If Mr. Gopalakrishna or the management of NPS is reading this, I PLEAD to him to do some justice to us parents by calling the selected candidates asap, as many of us are in the above mentioned dilemma. I understand that NPS is busy with their internal affairs and celebrations. But our problems too should not get overlooked. The money involved IS a substantial sum and is hard earned. So is the future of the kid's education.

We wait for NPS, we don't go for a backup school thinking of the money involved, and tomorrow if the kid is not selected by nps, what do we do?? So, NPS and Mr. Gopalakrishna, please do justice and call the selected ones asap.

NPS Indiranagar still says that nothing is decided on the montessori-1 admission as Mr.Gopalakrishnan is still not in town. If it has to happen in dec, 2009, it will happen before 24th dec otherwise after 5th jan, 2010 only after the school re-opens.

Anyone has any other info on what is happenning?

well i think they will do the selection only in Jan 1st week. Since hsr and Kor branch has given the time as second and third week of Jan.

Need to chk if Rajaji nagar is starting arround that time too since they will give the lsit together for all the branches i guess.....

as of last friday, nps @ rajajinagar said they will start the process starting from 15th or 16th december...delay could be due to their golden jubilee celebrations...celebrations started around 5th dec...it is concluding either today or tomorrow...all the top management including mr. gopalkrishna are attending the functions everyday at rajajinagar...so i guess, the admission process at rajajinagar may start from 16th dec.

As far as I know, NPS indiranagar hasn't started calling yet  for LKG.NPS rajajinagar has started calling  this week, since the golden jubilee celebrations ended on Thursday. So,in all probability, parents waiting to hear from nps Indiranagar shld start getting calls starting Monday, since they usually go branch wise. The chairman has a one-on-one interaction with selected parents from all schools. So,they do it stage wise.Good luck to all.
