Hi All,

Manthan Vidyashram, a school at Kottivakkam is a good school for your llittle kids-but only upto the primary level.  The teachers, portion and  their planning is strong.  But after the V standard, I think it is better you move ur child out.  The reasons for this are-

  1. the portion is edgy - CBSE till VII and a jump into IGCSE.
  2. the teachers are not really qualified and experienced
  3. the portions taught are very different from the questions asked
  4. parents are grilled at the report card sessions
  5. IGCSE is very different from Indian streams
  6. how concrete is the IGCSE board - if you are sure to move out of the country by the time ur child completes his/her O level, should u consider it.
  7. how well will they fall back into the normal stream of education of India for professional courses?
  8. affiliation to Edexcel is like running a tutorial college - no rules laid, no questions asked.  Cambridge is a lot standardised.

All said and done, it is upto parents to decide what they would want to give their children.
