Hi Rachz, First try to find out why he is not interested to write. Either it may be he hands are paining are some thing else. Even my son also like that in the beginning. I followed few tips for him. I will give one topic to him and i will ask him to tell about that what he knows. Then i will also tell few facts about that topic and i will start writing each sentence. First i used to pick small sentences and then i will ask him also to write. This has to be make a daily practice atleast to write 5-10 sentences daily. slowly they will get interest. If he is not interested to write sentences,,just make him to write small words at first. This is one of the technique i followed for my son and now he is fine in writing.

Hi Rachz, even I am facing with the same problem. my daughter 5 years old does not want to write. but she is brilliant. her class teacher tells me she is one of the best student sin class and is good in all other activites. everyday she cries while going to school. she always tells me she hates school and does not want to write. i am finding it really tough since i am a working mother and need to leave for work by 8:30 am. sending her to school with a smile has become a challenge for me and also a dream :( can someone give good ideas...? Hi Rachz and Lakshmi, Try this ! Get a small black board and chalk and ask your kid to play a game with you in which you are the student and your child is the teacher, intercheably, on alternate days. Tell him about the game before you start: that for one day he will your teacher and next day you will be his teacher. In the game, ask him to teach you spellings or meanings from school book while writing on the board. Do not correct him. Ask him to give you some classwork. Let him check it. Ask him to give you some homework. Next day submit your homework, let him check it. Next day its your turn to play the teacher. Give him simple things to write. Let there be a lot of fun and no criticism. If he makes mistakes in writing alphabets, tell him that you can help him to write better alphabets and make dots in the shape of the alphabet on blank paper. Let him join the dots and if he enjoys it then ask him if he would like to make more of them. It may take quite a few weeks before he starts to like writing. Start the game with 10 mins per day, see the response. If it works then you may want to increase it a little once every week. Good Luck. Ambuj.
