Hi miku, i've read the discussions about this school.. i think u r the parent of small kids going to kg. My kids r now going to 6th and 3rd. We submitted form in Doveton ICSE last week and looking for the standard of that school...
We r new to Chennai. Now v r in Maduravoyal and having plan to shift our home to Kellys.
very few discussions abt this school in parentree...standard of this school is not known clearly.. mmmm...waiting to know lot more about this school...

I was gathering details regarding this school for the past 6 months to put my kids in this school.. what I heard is Doveton group of schools is one of the best & reputed school in chennai. Further their history dates back to 1850's which shows they are deep-rooted in education industry.
I know parents whose kids are studying in matric stream..but no clue about ISCE stream..
let's wait for some good news about the school.. once we put our children in a school, we shouldn't change it atleast upto viii std. There after the education becomes 'running after marks based'. So they can study in any school from ixth...
well said jensi.. right now my kids are in exclusive primary school of doveton group .(doveton oakley).. on completion of KG's they will move to main school of doveton corrie.i.e..either matric or ICSE depending upon the ability of kid.. however they did not give any assurance.. so still I have ample time to dig deep

I have secured LKG admission for my son at Doventon Corrie ICSE. Doveton corrie is kind of orthodox school and as parent we may not get good treatment like other highly paid schools. They are slowly marching towards ICSE stream and what I heard that teaching is good compared to Doveton Matric, Anglo Indian..one of our relatives friend is working as a teacher in ICSE stream we came to know that syllabus and teaching is good. but again there is no much discussion about Doveton ICSE in forums

Hi Regina, thanks for your reply. I feel better now hearing that teaching is good in Doveton ICSE. Since we are new to Chennai, we don't know much about any schools in Chennai.
As parents, not getting good treatment is not at all a prob to us.. because we experienced the same in Holy Cross Anglo Indian School in Tuticorin, but now we realise the goodness of that school after seeing Chennai schools....

If you are looking for girls schools for your daughter you can try nor CSI Ewarts Matric school which is near by Doveton Corrie but they are in matric (samacheer) donno whether they will go for ICSE but it is very good school for girls.

We already had a plan to put my daughter in CSI Bain school and son in any other school... but practically it'll be difficult. So now we decide to put both of them in a same school.

may I know the fee structure for LKG in tuticorin..jus to compare..
In Vikasa we paid only 10K as donation and Rs.4,400 per term..it may be increased a little now.Since it is a small city, there will be less no of ICSE scls( i think only 2) and with good quality. We can find more good scls(samacheer) there even at very low cost than Vikasa.
Really great!!!!!!!! they could provide all these facilities for a nominal fee..
but here in chennai the situation is really pathetic...
