5 month old baby head control - Page 1

hello friends,

My 5 month old baby girl is still not holding her head steady. She holds her head without support for a while but its very shaky so we still need to support her neck.

Also she rolls from tummy to back within a minute but is not making any efforts to move from back to tummy.

This is a cause of concern for me since I have heard by 5 months babies should start doing both these things.

She's fine otherwise in terms of weight, height and feed. I have also started giving her rice water(about 100 ml once a day) along with Nan 1.

Please share if anybody is facing the same problem and should I be worried about this..

rolling back 2 front and front to back is ok if she does or no.......I m quite sure on this u need not worry....................... about holding her head I think u shld consult her pediac fr this once.........................personally I feel all kids r diff and they take their own time................my daughter did all physical activities quite later then other kids but it was ok......................she now does everything so hv patience........................

tiyu is right..consult her ped for the neck control concern..its not right and fair to give a judgment on the timely or delayed development without looking at the child, especially when the delay is not significant.
