Hi Everyone,

My kid got admission to Class-1 for the academic year 2012-2013 at Kalpa School, Banjara Hills (RoadNo#8). Please let me know how the school is. Basically I am looking at overall development of my son. Not very particular about the syllabus though. I heard ICSE syllabus is tougher than CBSE, if that's true, I would prefer ICSE syllabus. Someone, please let me know if Kalpa school is a good bet.

I have another option - Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan at Banjara Hills RoadNo#45(End), but since it's a new school (I believe is tarted in 2009) I am skeptical about it.

Thanks in advance,

Kiran Jinka.

Bhavan's at Banjara Hills RoadNo#71 is the most reputed one, but I believe admissions for Class-1 are already over (during last week of Jan). Very hard to get into this school. The one I mentioned is a new one (just 3 years old) at RoadNo#45 and hence skeptical about it.

If someone can give me reviews on Kalpa school (at Banjara Hills RoadNo#8), it would be very helpful for me (I don't have many options though). Regarding the last date for paying fees - it's 10th.

Cheers.

My son also got admission to Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (new branch located at RoadNo#45, Banjara Hills), so now has two admissions, viz., Kalpa School (at Banjara Hills) and BVB (RoadNo#45) - Confused regarding which one to opt for.

Can anyone please help me here? (Tomorrow is the last date for fee payment for BVB)

Bit worried about BVB since it's relatively new one (started in 2009), but I think there's no reason why it won't catch up with the old BVB at Film Nagar.

And regarding Kalpa, since it follows ICSE syllabus, worried if my son would be able to go through vast syllabus (as compared to CBSE)

Thanks in Advance,

Kiran.

I joined my son in Bhavans @Road#45, Jubilee Hills, it started just 3 years back, but it's by the same management of Bhavans @Road#71.

Let me know if you need any more details.

Regards,

Kiran.

Kalpa - ICSE syllabus, and hence tougher than CBSE. Plus, all national level exams (once he reaches 10+2) are currently based on CBSE syllabus.

Admissions to Bhavans Road no#45 (atleast till Class#1) is by lottery !!! Donation is Rs.25,000/- (even if you get through lottery). But if you don't and agree to pay more donation (marginally higher, say Rs.40,000/-), you should get it easily.

Also, you can see all people (lower to upper middle class) at Bhavans (because of the low fees, Just Rs.17,500/- per annum !!!, excluding the commutation charges through bus, etc.,), which helps my son to interact/know about different people. If I join him in some costly school, I am sure he will get spoiled (in some way or other) and I don't want that to happen.

Overall, even school doesn't decide our kid's attitude, only we as parents should guide him throughout his life !!!!
