Sugar substitute in milk for toddler - request suggestion - Page 1

Is there a natural substitute for sugar (other than honey) any one please suggest me....and where to get it? I live in chennai. please help....

 yeh u can add gud which is as sweet as sugar or u can put khadi sakar which u get from any kariana shop near by u. which is sugar in full form which is very good for small kids health...

you can use palm sugar. you will get it in all ayurvedic shops.

what is gud? khadi sakar is same as sakar right? I mean the substance/component is just same as sugar..

Date syrup -- lion dates have ones with only dates and no other additives. Found in most of the supermarket.

Amma naana opposite to Adyar gate hotel must be having agave nectar(its from a kind of plant looking like Aloe) or marmalade(made from citrus fruit peels and boiled in sugar and water)

You could also try smoothies , juicing together fruits like chickoo, apple with milk for some sweetness.

You can use honey with milk.   As NJ mentioned you can also use dates syrup, it is good for their health also.

Use Palm Candy or Mishri its a natural substitute for Sugar.

thanks bandhu, I purchased palm candy now..hope it is pure..what is mishri?

NJ and kaviraja, thanks thatz a lot of substitutes...i will buy them...kaviraja except honey...i m against destroying nest...thatz y...i will start lion dates syrup...
