 I had a visit to the school on saturday.. after 19th Jan only they will get to know everything officially including fees structure.. admission procedures... and all those.. will be going to school after 20th and keep you updated

 Building is ok. Earlier in that building some export company was there it seems... now they are doing all partitioning and all those construction work..., it is of three floor buildign with lift and it has two blocks.. i find it is Spacious...

for play ground they are in dealing with the owner of the empty ground which is just adjusant to the school..if they get that place it is good enough area for school ground.. they say it is in negotiation and they will get that ground it seems...

Admissions open in Ravidra bharathi school from PRe-KG to Grade VIII... Bought the Application yesterday costing 500..Application form, School broucher is attractive unlike Pon vidyashram just a single paper in the name of application...Spoke to the CEO Management person got the fee details as well..Admission fee 10k(one time fee) to confirm the admission, there is no interaction/interview for kids..first come first serve basis...MAximum 3 sections intake 20/25 students per section it seems i strongly belive they will increase this slab...3 terms fee 25k in April month then 15K and 10K in next two installments....Even today admissions are going on...Asper yesterday information 17 admissions completed. I think they will fill this up in couple of days.. they loook promising hope they live upto their standard...Going to admit my son in PRe-KG...One more thing is they are getting information on our preference of extracurricular in application form like dance, drawing,painting, Yoga etc...except for nursery classes...Fee in total 60k seems to be much higher compared to well established schools in chennai...

I too took the form today as I felt the system attractive and promising.  I am closing in on RBS and thereby my school hunt.  Just to add on, they also mentioned that high priority will be given on extra curricular activities with plans even for a swimming pool and a golf court.  Yoga or any martial art seems to be mandatory as well.  Was impresse by by the way replies were given to the queries as well.  

I have paid the Fee and got the admission for Pre-KG. Impressed on the extra curricular activities like speech, Drama, dance, martial arts, yoga etc...as per the info the students are judged 40% on academic scores and 60% on other activities. For Pre-KG first 4 months it will be activity/theme based learning. RBS seems to get the parents attraction with their different packaging.

Any parents who got PRe-KG admission for their Kid...

 @ Navin kumar: Congrats. Even i am planning to pay the fees by this wednesday for my son too in Pre kg. We saty in keelkatalai where do you live. one more query do you know whether their cbse affiliation is done and yet to get it .

i asked about it and the reply is also positive, they do have the affiliation. They are very big chain of schools so they would have done this in fraction of time...My only thought is how they will be able to complete the infrastructure process by June when the school starts, they are confident that construction work will be completed by march.

i am looking for flat near Keelkatlai near to school, saw couple of apartments might finalize shortly, even in this location the rents are too high for a good 2 BHK.....

Hi anup": Nice to know that you are also looking for pre kg admission. This group is mainly on RBs school in Keelkatalai -medavakkam main road.  this school is started just a few months before. they have from pre kg to 8th grade and it is cbse . The fees told is 50k yrl and 10 k as one time fee. Seems to be very promising and they are giving application forms. If interested please visit them immediately.

Did you ask them how many sections they are planning to have and cut off members in each section. I was told that 25 to 30 students per section amd max of 3 sections. Two teachers and one ayya for each section. I think this is very less intake as compared to the other premier schools. Moreover they confirmed close to 25 admissions as on sunday for Pre-KG. By the by where do you stay?

 @Navin: Ok. Do finalize soon becoz most of the people are not aware of such a school is cmg, if they know then they will increase the rent on this account :) 

 @ navin: When we asked on sunday they said 30 to 35 students in each class like that 3 sections. And 17 seats are filled already. the student teacher ration is same as what u told. This ration is good i think. Pray they should not increase it :) . we are staying in Kumaran nagar opp to keelkatalai bus terminus.

Did they follow age crietria strictly ? b'coz my son will be 2.3 yrs on june. will they admit him in Pre-KG this year (2012 - 2013) or is it enough to try by next academic(2013 - 2014) year?

 @geetha. even my son will 2.5 yrs by jun but they said it is ok. So i feel better u go and ask them directly and buy the application. they said cbse board age limit is the kid  shd by 2.6 by sep.

I am staying 1 km from the school and I met the principal yesterday for enquiry. Fees looks pretty high as this place is mostly middle class.

I had few questions for which I did not get proper answer,

1. Will this location be permanent? I heard that this place is 20 year lease. But if the school expands will they shift to another place? Same thing happened for my kid as PSBB millennium was shifted to Porur suddenly due to space constraints.

2. Will they be able to get land nearby? I believe the landowners will double their charge and demand more money. This way they might not get the land for play area. If so, what is the alternative option.

3. Will they increase the fees in future? I believe they might increase the donation fee since currently they charge only 10,000. But if they increase the fee then we will in trouble.

4. Will the building and teachers will be ready by June? I asked this and they promised it will be.

 Also i heard from guys in Nellore that this school is good but very much focussed on education from 6th standard like IIT coaching etc.

I believe atleast to retain the brand name, they will develop this school in chennai, but i am worried about continuing of this location and the cost benefit.

i will again visit and get more information.

@V3 thanks a lot for ur reply. Is this fees 50k per year includes the fee for extra activities like yoga, swimming etc r they r charging them separetely?
