suggest some craft work? - Page 1

hi,

My daughter is studying Pre K G and they want us to do some craft work and send it so i am looking for some craft work which should be done "together with the child"  and it should be used in school for decorating.

so suggest me few.

Hi,

How about a chinese lantern. Take an A4 sheet and fold it in half along the width.  From the folded edge, cut in  straight lines few strips at an interval of approx. 1 inch. But don't cut till the end. Leave atleast 1.5 inch at the end of the paper.  Unfold the paper and make a cylinder by pasting the sides of the paper (along the length). fix a string for hanging and decorate it.  It looks something like below pic.

Pleasent surprise for me that u replied bcoz i was looking your craft - flower vase made out of milk carton and woolen :-) what a wonderful vase

Now this chinese lantern is also looks simple but i want something more attractive too. Can you pls give me another idea too?

Note: i love glass painting, do u have any idea abt that too :-) - this not for my child's assignment this is for me.

Gayathri,

Please let me know atleast the theme, the material you want to use and what you mean by attractive. I thought you want a craft which can be done by your child with not much help from you except the instructions.. (I assume she must be 3 or 4).

Theme: craft item -  to decorate the school for christmas and New year, any material is ok, attractive means it should look very good (colour, Texture etc)

above all my friend, school will say "together with the child"

but u know only i have to do - i would be happy if my kid dont spoil that craft work or let me in peace while doing it (shes 3 completed last month)

 hey!

How about trying this:

Cut satin cloth in the shape of a star (2 pcs) and stitch them together with opening at one tip.  Turn inside out and get your child to fill it with fluffed up cotton.  Stitch up the opening with a loop (thread/wool/satin ribbon folded into a 'U').  Get your child to paste sequins on the star.

ta-da! a bright star for christmas!! Go ahead, make multiple pieces and hang outside your door too
