Hello everyone,

We have a 2 year and 8 month old daughter who has been diagnosed with mild - moderate autism. We are about to start on therapy. The places we have been to in Bangalore- Five and ccdd.in (Dr Mundkars) seems to focus on ABA like therapies. Does anyone know of Floortime therapists in bangalore?

Floortime seems to make a lot of sense to me. Can anyone help and give suggestions for Floortime therapists here?

I live in bangalore my son is in spectrum as well, depending on where you stay you should find a therapist closer to your home. My son goes to comdeall for early intervention. @jeen I am not aware of any floortime therapists in bangalore, floor time is a really good concept and I have read the book "engaging autism". @mylilson if you want know more about floortime buy the above mentioned book from flipkart.

comdeall is great I am so happy with the progress, my son was completely non verbal at the age of 3, after one year of intense therapy he has few words now and progressing, makes sentneces occasionally. Also i want state is that the first point to a parent to a special needs child is acceptance yes my child has some challengence, this does not mean no way giving in to the problem and not working, rather than looking at your child in positive frame of mind without comparision, as a society we stick so much importance to talking so what if your child is not talking today will talk eventually but please do not put so much pressure on the child or look down upon him/her.

the most important critera to select ur therapy centre is to have the centre closer to ur residence.apollo clinic jpnagar has a pediatric occupationl therapy department.
