 Excellent school. My son Yash is in 2nd standard. I am very happy. Day boarding. Reasonable fees. 5star ambience. Only problem is it has a small playground.

visited the school today. am gonna pay the fees tomm. i liked it too. the principle told me they will be buying the ground in a few yrs n will make it private then.

otherwise even i really liked the ambience and the infrastructure....

Hope the teaching level is as good... do let me know.

ACP and Sumith, I've already enrolled my son for this school, Its ICSE board and planning to introduce optional IB from 8th grade onwards.

The current fees are 40000/- which are payable in 4 parts throughout the academic year. They do not have any donation or hidden fees at all. Also include 2 meals for kids, which are healthy as monitered by a doc. no areated drinks - junk food allowed,

Besides, they are day boarding from 1st std onwards, which is a boon for working parents so the school timmings will be  9 - 5 pm, actual school is till 2.30 pm, then all the other activities start , like they have a host of extracurricular ectivities such as , skating, drama, dance, music, self defence etc, are also gonna build a rooftop swimming pool.

The classrooms are all AC and have huge windows so are always bright, with beautiful murals and stuff adornign the walls, they have max 30 -35 kids in each class, till 10th std. currently they are till 7th std.

By n large they have an excellent infrastucture , and i'm quite happy with it.

Welcome . btw sumith, just abt SIS, they are just OTP charging huge fees, i had called them up frm the nos on their website and their fees for nursury are abt 4 lacs a yr. Absolutely unaffordable...... i suggest gurukul to you guys.

Hello everybody I am planning to change school of my elder son for 5th std and younger daughter for 2nd std. Somebody suggested me universal high. As we are staying in Mira road it will b closeby  and i wanted them to send in Mumbai only as at Presently they r in RBK-IGCSE but in this school apart from the huge syllabus no other special activities r there. So if u can gudie me(@bijal) as ur son is already going there what r the timings , fees , and is the cirriculam is managable because school timings r i think from 9-5 and Please let me know if you have any idea whether there buses ply towards mira road because i  the buses plying around mira road as Gurukul international is this a same school? and as within this 2 days i will be coming there 2 pick up the form if available it will b very helpful if u will guide me. As for me extra-cirricular activities r more important as because of this one reason i am planning to change their school.

How do u know these things abt this school, is someone u know studing there, or do u know the management? also someone i know is enrolled there no one as any complaints so far .... also the fees are definately not exhorbitant, infact way less thanother schools charge for these facilites...

How do u know if it is politically connected n all?

I have personally noticed when I had been to this School for getting admission for my daughter who is 3 years old now.

Is someone u know studying there ? : No, I do not know anyone studying there, but I enquired with the parents of the pupil going to this school and there views are not at all good for this school.

I do not know the management or I wish to know ...

May be someone you know may not be having complaints.. but you cant generalise.

I do not agree with your point that this school is charging less fees than others... Gurukul is charging the highest fees amongst others schools in Dahisar/Borivali areas though nothing Universal in this school.... The education given is of third grade standard .....

One point I wish to know... How did you like this school ? And what you know about this school ? . Do you know that this school is built in Municipalty reserved area for dual language school ? Otherwise how can you know that this school management is not politically connected ?

how r u...I hope u remember me ???...U told me that u have studied in MATOSHREE KASHIBEN VRAJLAL VALIA INTERNATIONAL (more of a gujju culutre) VIDYALAY but now u do not have any idea .....Please can u get some info abt this school ??

The reason for stressing for this one is that it is the only CBSE affiliated school in and round Kandivali to Dahisar (atleast according to the CBSE website).....I hope u will help me as you have been doing for my ealier posts..... I am specifically looking for CBSE schools in and around Dahisar and Borivali area....any other schools are also welcome.......

to earn money from the parents. Nothing is universal.

In Malad East, we have good schools,

Why cant you try Childrens Academy ?

In Gurukul Universal, your kid will not learn anything but only you will spent

lot of money.. This school has made education a commecial instrument to

earn money.

Is your child curently studying in Universal High....I wanted a review of the school...On the site though there are negative reviews of the school, especially of Kshalkar....I needed an honest review and also the fees........

i am looking for the review of universal high malad east branch. i have inquired with other parents regarding universal group they are quite satisfied , but they have told me that the school has more activities then studies please any body can inquire with other parents whose children are presently studing with universal group and specifically  regarding the malad east branch i am little confused. please reply soooonnnnnnn

I was running thru all the discussions you all r having currently. I am a resident of goregaon east.

Actually every parent has his own thinking for the choice of school to be made , some lay emphasis on extra curricular activities , some on acadamics , some on infrastructure , some on the cost.

Acc to me one should look @ a school which firstly lay good emphasis on the teaching staff ie the quality oif teacher, the infrastructure  & also the extra curricular activites.

My daughter goes to Lakshadham school in goregaon east which a goenka group school. I have personally felt seen that their principal is a very hands on for the entire ongoings for the school, she is very approchable. Its a very grounded school , has a mix of all levels of people, its cost effective.

I believe that academics cannot be replaced by giving more importance on extra curricular activities. Yes having said that if a school does not have emphasis on the the activites then you have outside sources available whr u can decide & put yr child into.

And also for the information this school has buses travelling all over, just chk out the timings with them. The nursery , Jr, Sr runs in 2 batchesie mor & eve.

Its a humble request to all the parents not to admit ur kid in Universal High Dahisar coz u may like the infrastructure n all but der is hardly anything that the child learns in the school..... Most of the time goes in celebrating various days n so on. The teachers keeps on changing every year coz they cannot retain good teachers and then finally settles down on teachers who are not qualified and ultimately the kids suffers alot......

The co-ordinators cannot even speak English properly and are just graduates but they are called as co-ordinators.....

I removed the name of my kid from that school and

enrolled in Rustomjee... I found Universal School,

Dahisar absolutely not satisfactory. Teachers goes

on changing and as school dont get good teachers,

they hire teachers/cordinators who even cant read

and write English properly. School is only collecting

money..Nothing universal.

 hi all friends.universal high is not a good school at all.first of all they just have too much of fees. the worksheet systemm. textbooks r not given at home .. so it is difficult to understand what our child is studing.... they just have lots n lots of activities.. the management is not too good... only if ur working women this school is a best option as ur child is in school from 9.000 to 5.000 .. but then to education is must... i was planning to put my child in universal high but later on after getting all negative reviews ....i planned to not put her inthis school.. please parents whoever are trying to put there child in universal take lots of reviews from parents... then decide.... the teachers r not too upgraded with icse.. level... this reviews i have got from parents whose children r presently studing at universal....so please think twice before putting ur child at any school... i think parents reviews r more important then anything else.. as they know what there child is doing day to day...........

i have been going thru ur comments a lot. i personally feel the best way to find about a school is to go personally and than identify the right school for ur kid. dr.vidya i would suggest Children's Academy at Malad E. BOTH MY KIDS r currently going there their approach is fantastic. atleast that is my opinion. their kandivli thakur complex branch is ICSE recognised.Dont know abt other 2 branches.

my child goes to sharada gyanpeeth international school its a good upcoming school when i was planning to tak eadmission at childrens academy at malad east branch i go tvery negative reviews regarding school and education system as my daughter got admission at childrens then too we opt for sharada its really a good upcoming school as once i visited childrens academy for nursery batch i saw there were lots of childrens in a single class only one mausi to handle potty and susu problems many parents complian that there childrens were not clean properly once they go for potty at school in nursery batch so i was really upset with all this and at last moment plan to take admission at sharada gyanpeeth.. i know DIDS there are always pros and cons for the school but once u visit the school then u come to know the real pros and cons..
