How is due date calculated?

The due date is calculated by adding 280 days to the first day of your last menstrual period.

If your menstrual cycle is different from 28 days, then an adjustment is made.

Examples:

	If your cycle is 26 days, then 278 days are added instead of 280
	If your cycle is 31 days, then 283 days are added instead of 280

How accurate is the expected due date?

Not very. It is only approximate and your baby's arrival can vary around the date
