Parentree launches children's intelligence profiler

Jul 21, 2009 11:08 AM Share

Parentree - an Indian parenting community has launched a children's intelligence profiling tool on its website www.parentree.in.

The children's intelligence profiler asks parents to answer a set of questions about their child and based on the answers a profile of the child's intelligence is created.

The profiler is based on the Theory of Multiple Intelligence proposed by Dr. Howard Gardner, a theory which is widely used globally. The theory says that intelligence has 8 different forms and that each child is unique in how these 8 intelligences are combined in their brain.

By understanding the strongest multiple intelligences in a child, an Indian parent or a teacher can use them as the routes to increase the child's knowledge and learning. When a child is educated by focusing on their strong intelligences, they learn more faster and they also remember better.

Shobha Durairajan, a Founder of Parentree, said "Parentree's focus on practical Indian parenting continues, as we launch another tool that is of immense use to Indian parents".

The intelligence profile that is created for each child, also includes a set of guides that help parents understand how to use each of the multiple intelligences to teach their children well.

The children's intelligence profiler is located at - http://www.parentree.in/childrens-intelligence-profile.html and is free for use by Indian parents.

This is a very good feature. It answered my question on "so what's new & useful on Parentree now?" Good! Keep Going!

This is a wonderful feature to have on the site! While I have been noicing some strong and weak attributes in my child, I had little idea of how to use these to her advantage. This is very useful and like Sumo suggests, it would be good if we can save the profile page...
Cheers,
Uma

Very interesting concept. Suggest that you provide a way to save the profile for each child so that we can revisit and read those teaching tips. Thanks,
