Its always a great feeling while you were planning to go on a holiday, especially if it is after a significant time. This time we chose Munnar and went about meticulously planning the trip.
First I checked for the train tickets. I checked 3rd A/C and 2nd A/c . The waiting list no. ran to 100 and 200. Then I checked the First class A/c . I found the waiting list no.s were 3,4 ….. Wow 3 ,4 single digit waiting list nos..( Poor Master planner missed the logical reasoning part of the single digit waiting list nos. There was only one first A/c coach in the train and there would be very minimal cancellations and mostly seats are reserved for Politicians ) . Since I booked the ticket 1 month back, I was sure that waiting list would get through. Luckily I got the confirmed return tickets and got our resort booking also done.
Till one week before our departure, the waiting list didn’t move a bit at all.... every now and then I checked the PNR No.. Ouch… the numbers remained unchanged. I was a bit worried. I remembered our family friend who is working in the Railways. I told him the situation. Immediately he said, “Don’t worry, I can get you EQ tickets . You can safely board the train. Please give me a call on Friday morning . “. Friday morning I reminded him and he said very confidently, “Give me a call around 5 pm. I will let you know the coach no. and seat no.”.He seemed to me like a GOD , who grants our wish.
Sharp 5’0 clock I called him and he told that we didn’t get the EQ ticket in First A/C . As an alternative he asked us to come to the station around 6.30 pm (train boarding time was 8 pm) and referred someone in the ticket counter and asked us to meet him and buy normal sleeper class tickets for all 5 of us and with those tickets asked us to meet another person who would arrange for 2 tier ac upgradation.
With much enthusiasm and anxiety, we set off to see "Kerala" - God’s Own Country, around 5.30 pm. There was a huge traffic throughout Mount Road because of some political procession.(really don’t know how these political parties choose Fridays for their processions). We were asked to “Take Diversions” twice by our traffic police on our way. ( I remembered viveks famous comedy “Take diversion” Tirupati joke)
Meanwhile my husband called up a travel desk and arranged for a cab to Munnar as an alternative, if we were not able to board the train. But my son wanted to travel by train very badly. Even I was not very comfortable travelling by cab because my parents were also travelling with us and it would not be as comfortable as the train .
The traffic was not at all moving. The situation was getting worse. Now what could we do ? We were sitting in the auto and we couldn’t fly to the station directly..(Superman , Spiderman where are you??) Is there any magic wand available to clear the traffic and or fly to station? Nope. . Without getting much tense I started using the “The secret” technique .
The law of attraction says “In the moment you ask and believe and know you already have it in the unseen, the entire universe shifts to bring it into the seen. You must act , speak and think as though you are receiving it now.”
I started visualizing and firmly believed that all of us were going by the train and asked Keerthi(my son) to envisage the same thing.
We reached the station around 7.05 pm and I immediately rushed to the ticket counter to meet the counter person. But because of huge rush, I was not allowed inside the ticket counter office and there was some checking going near the ticket counter. It was around 7.15 pm and I thought all our options were closed to travel by train. I called up the railway friend to update the status.
But fortunately he was available in the central station itself and he told that he would come to the counter and buy tickets for us. He reached the ticket counter by 7.35 pm . He went inside the counter with much intricacy he bought the sleeper class tickets for us and asked us board in 2nd a/c immediately and his TT friend would arrange seats for us.
Train was on time. All the 5 of us were waiting near the “loo” in 2nd ac coach and the TT came to the 2nd A/c coach around 8.30 pm. He checked our sleeper tickets and asked us to wait. He didn’t give any hope and also uttered 5 tickets –“ difficult””. Luckily there was one seat near the door which was not occupied. Keerthi(9 year old) , Praanesh (my 2 year old son) and my mother sat on that seat.
Till 9.30 pm the TT didn’t turn up. The one seat was also occupied and all 5 of us now standing near the door. My father was becoming slightly agitated and worried and my mother also.
I think because of our Isha Yoga practice, My hubby and I stayed composed and did not get tensed at all.
I started “The secret” technique again…
The law of attraction says “when you are visualizing, you are emitting that powerful frequency out into universe. The law of attraction will take hold of that powerful signal and return those pictures back to you, just as you saw them in your mind”.
This time I started visualizing very clearly that we were all sleeping comfortably in the 2nd a/c coach.. Time passed by, but there were no signs of TT returning back. We had our dinner standing near the door J.. Keerthi and Praanesh were very cooperative.
The TT came around 10.30 pm and somehow allotted seats in the same coach itself for all of us. We paid the difference in cost of tickets and went to sleep comfortably around 11 pm..Clear manifestation, thinking positive, staying composed helps us to handle any situation in a pleasant manner.
