Just could not resist posting here though I dont have first hand knowledge of madurai schools now - I did my complete schooling there 20 years back!
There are lots of very good schools in madurai. The ones that were popular in those days were St Joseph (St Mary's for boys) Convent, TVS Lakshmi, OCPM, Vikaasa, Seventh Day Adventist, Capron Hall, Chandler matriculation school, Jain Matriculation school, ..
