Ya, there was a problem with the posting of the question. Wanted to check about schools in Andheri (W). Which would be good schools?
I hv heard that Aarya Vidya Mandir - Juhu, Rajhans vidyalaya , Utpal Sanghvi are some of the good schools. Even Iam confused a bit as Iam looking out for admission for my kids as well. Can someone give a feedback on the fees structure and timings of these schools.
hi shobha and shilpa,
good to see ur posting here. like all other mothers even i am confused. we are in US and I will be moving to india next summer. My son is in first grade, because of cut off system here date my son is missing a year. wherein as per the cut off date in india next year he is suppose tobe in 3rd grade. I have put him in the private school where the curriculam is a year ahead i.e. even if he is in 1st grade he is actually learning 2nd grade curriculum and I am home schooling him too. I have got the CBSE board books from india for 2nd grade and teaching him at home. Academically he is a strong kid. he has potentials to pick up things faster.
now my problem is how will I be able to jump the year for him. I am more concerned too to put him in 2nd grade as he look big for his age and if he is with a year younger kids in class will be a mental pressure on him...( u know how kids are). secondly my concern like both of u is which school to choose and moreover i hear that the education system is going to change by 2010 and is going to get centralised. that means everybody will learn I guess only CBSE curriculum. complete confusion....pls pls help anybody.....
your response to this will be appreciated.
This is news to me that education system in India is going to change next year i.e 2010 and there will be only cbse. I am planning ot shift to Mumbai next year. Presently we are in UAE and grade 5 son is in CBSE board. We are planning to stay in Andheri or in Goregaon. Looking for some good cbse schools in these areas. I know about Rajhans Vidyalaya in Andheri and Podar school in Santacruz which I heard are good. I don't find any CBSE good schools in Goregaon.
I also want some suggestions like is it a good idea to shift from CBSE to ICSE at this level. Will the child find it tough to study ICSE at this level as it seems that ICSE is more tough than CBSE.
Any suggestions pls repond.
I had heard that the education system is going to be centralised later i got the info that the board may be different but the examination and grading system is going to be centralised something like that. i found ashoka academy in lokhandwala which has CBSE ( don't have the review so can't tell how good the school is) for more info u can visit their website.even i haven't found any school near malad and goregaon and i won't prefer sending my kid to far suburbs. i have heard cbse is tougher. now u r saying icse is tougher. anyways elementary education everywhere more or less same. and finally it all depends what are ur expectations from ur kid. if high expectation any board u put poor kid will go thru hell. if not than i guess any board is fine as long as our kid is happy.
hope this will help.
