I am new to this group & shifting to Hyderbad with Family by April'11 and my office is in Gachibowli (DLF Phase-1) . Since I am new to Hyd, can anybody guide me for the Good English Medium CBSE board schools in that area. My son is going to admit in 3rd std in Hyd. It would be helpful if you can tell me the name, approx fee & most important when the addmission form will be distributed
Also if any one help me in guiding the resonable residential area . expected rent ~ 14K (including maintenace) for 3 BHK
i am staying in gachibowli for past 7 years, there two good school here
one is KV and other is centre university campus school. you can try this schools.
can you able to tell me when the admission process of these schools will start and how difficult is to get the admission .. as far as I know, in india..getting admission in KV is difficult..
KV's infrastructure may not be as attractive as the corporate schools but their teaching, activities and results are too good. Hence it is opted by most of the transferrable parents. But civilians can also try.
First preference will be given to Defence personnel then public sector and state govt employees. Civilians can also apply but they will be preferred after the Central govt employees. For new admissions for class 3, i think you will have to contact the school in Jan/Feb/march '11.
You can also see Savitri's feedback about KV Gachibowli (11th Mar 2010)
Below is the website of KV Gachibowli
You will get admission forms in January . Please read the rules of KV admissions too in the below website.
Apart from this school, you can try in Maharshi Vidya Mandir at Kondapur. Gachibowli is not that far from Kondapur. MVM has very good transport facility and the fee is easy on pocket too. You have to enquire in Feb/Mar'11
ph .040-23111629, 040- 23113196
Apart from these two, you can try in Prerna Waldorf School at Gachibowli.

Please go to the below link to know more about residential areas in and around Gachibowli.
I have mentioned about Shilpa Park (Green Hamlet) near Hotel/Convention Centre Novotel. It should be in your budget. MVM is very near to Green Hamlet/Shilpa Park. If your child gets admission in MVM, it willl be very easy for you. You child can walk down to the the school. MVM is also very good CBSE school and the Principal has been awarded recently the Prestigious CBSE National Award.
Hope this info helps.
Most of the information are avialable in the KV website, there is enterance exam for selection. Based on the priority and number of seat they will select. Recently my friend kids (twins) got admission in II class based on the performance in the exam.
You have mentioned about the Central University Campus School in your above reply. Can u pl let me know how is this school ? Do u know any children who go to this school ? If yes, pl do reply in the below link to SumanKumar
Thanks Mickey & Maru for your helpful reply.. I shall contact them and update my experience..
Do you feel I should visit once to hyderabad in Dec'10 to take the forms or since most of the schools will give the form in Jan'11, its better to visit that time only ?
Please call up the interested schools and know the dates exactly so that u can plan your trip 2 to 3 days in advance. If you have time , it is always better to come down for 2 days in Dec and go around the interested schools else plan ur trip in Jan as it is for class 3. Many schools give forms in Feb/March/April too.
thanks Mickey, I shall plan accordingly.
Do you know any good CBSE school in Madhapur?

Central university campus,
Hyderabad central university
Hyderabad 500 032
Contact No: i will let u know soon
with best regards
Can anbody let me know which school is better MVM or Chirec apart from expenses as I know chtirec is more than double of MVM. I want to know about the campus, study, teacher experience, english etc
thanks & regards
Chirec is a better choice if you consider campus, academics, activities, facilities , result and communication skills too. Ofcourse, many children are from affluent families, so you can expect the kind of crowd here. It is better to keep a tab on him , instil good values and see that he doesn't pick up foul language too.
MVM on the other hand gives a spiritual orientation too to kids which is lacking in Chirec.
It is better to take feedback from other parents in this forum and personally too when you visit Hyderabad.
Thanks Mickey, I shall check the same once I will be in Hyderabad.
Request others parents to let me know your feedback as I don't want to regret on the decision after paying such a heavy amount as they are charging around 1Lac as non refundable amount.
Looking forward to reply
Tx & regards
chirec with Rs 1 lakh non refundable for which curruculum (Cambridge International Examinations or CBSE) and for which grade ?
One of my manager's daughter is studying in Chirec. He said that the school is not too strict nor too leberal. From education stand point also it is good. I think you can go for that.
Today I called to some of the schools and they refuced to have any seats for 3rd Class student in 2011 session. Schools are Chirec & Bhartiya Vidya mandir..
Any one can guide us what to do now..any ways (approch) to get admission there.
Any other good schools where I can try for my Son.. pl help
I think so it is for CIE. The link is also mentioned below
I have planned to visit Hyd on 20th Dec and most of the schools have said "no seats". Now only option I have left with are Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Meridian and Orkridge.
As such no one has told that they will give the admission in dec but they atleast told we have vaccancy and come will the form and we shall let you know the exam dates afterwords.
Can any one suggest which is best in these. what is the fee structure of last 2.
It will be more than 1 lakh roughly. You can also have a look at Manthan International. Fee will be less compared to Oakridge.
Please go through below links to know more about Manthan by Seema and Atul in

Review by VjmrHyd in
I was going through the reviews of the BVB school and found one link which speaks bad about the teachers. I am not sure whether they are talking about the same school (near Madhapur as adress say Road No 71 but link say road no 45) or BVB has more branches in Hyderabad. The link is also enclosed below:
can you pl give me clarity on this..
Yes Niti, I have read these reviews sometime back and posted it here for one of the parents in this forum when she was looking for BVB, Atmakuri on road no 45. It is a new school and is an extension of BVB, Jubilee Hills branch. The Jubilee Hills (main branch) is preferred. You can apply in the main branch. But my friend's son is in Atmakuri and she has no such complaints on Atmakuri branch !
For your comments and helped to know that they have branches also and now things has improved..
I need more help from your side.. Do you have any feedback about DAV, Golkonda Post school and their fee structure.
I am keeping this as second option, in case I don't get seat in BVB
Update from my side as we visited last week to Hyderabad for schools admission for 2011-12 session for my son in 3rd standard.
1) DPS, Gachibowli : Admission process has not started and even they have not decided the next year fee structure. Only hint is 15-20% increase from last year. Admission process will start in Jan end and exact position for vacancies will be known in the month of March'11
2) BVB, Banjara hills: No seats
3) BVB, Road 45 (new schools): might have few seats. we have not visited the school
4) Meridian, Madhapur: Have seats and admission is going on.
5) Oakridge, Gachibowli: Have seats and admission is going on
Hope it will be helpful for all parents seeking the admission in next year.
Thanks for the update. Sorry, i missed ur post on Nov 26,2010. I am too late in replying now. You can directly write to me through parentree inbox anytime. At times, it becomes difficult to keep track of threads as the threads go to the second or third page if there are more posts on that particular day.
DAV in Banjara Hills is good but it is till class 7 only and Golconda KV no2 is better than KV 1. As such u can prefer KV 1 too in case u r able to get admission. KVs' fees
is very nominal.
