What would you call the indian system of education? Aleft brain approach or right brain approach?Would you call it hollistic method?

arjunr 2012-01-16 16:55:46

Indian School education is left brain dominant. I gave RBT to my child from 4.5 months, so that he is active in right brain - and school will make active left brain by default...so actually RBTrained children would soon be using whole brain rather than left brain.

For todays world - rat race - whole brain nurturing is important.

Left brain dominant approach prepares children hugely in logical reasoning...

Right brain approach prepares for intuitive abilities, intuitive reasoning, amazing memory....

there needs both for today...if in some circumstances where logic fails, intuitive reasoning helps...memory (right brain blessing) also helps in todays academics, so child can simply absorb lessons faster and apply himself for other activities he like..

Hi Arjun R

what is RBT? How to inculcate the same? My kids are 3 years old. Pls guide

arjunr 2012-01-16 19:15:46

mikukiku RBT means right brain training.  normally every human is active in right brain till 4 years of age. after that right brain activity slows down hugely.

any inputs given to children at less than this age thru right brain training prepares the right brain lasts a life time in manyways.

1. photographic memory

2. reading fast

3. intuitive reasoning.

4. better children.

unfortunately the right brain trainer specialists in India focus the children and prepare them onlyfor academics...but there is a huge positive consequences if RBT is given in right way - we would  actually bring in best intrinsic potential - may be n sports, or music or academics. One portion of RBT is words, speed reading, music, eye stimuation etc.,

i know 2 more children other than my child (both in chennai - one boy 17 years in devi academy school, std plus 2, another girl 7 yr, 2nd std, Sri bs mootha school west mambalam.) both these children r doing outstanding in school. but these two children r prepared only for academics thru right brain as far as i can understand....but the girl shows amazing results in music dance academics...i lost touch with boys family..

muniya24 2012-01-17 06:34:27

It is true that RBT done from as early as prenatal stages show great improvement in a child upto 4-6 years. It also enables intuition, clarivoyance , photographic memory, speed reading , high speed calculation , perfect pitch ability and many more.

Can you please suggest few right brain training schools in India?

arjunr 2012-01-17 13:36:26

mikukiku, pinky, ransri, prasantip, thanks tons...

muniya24, there are full time academic schools which give RBT - pondicherry, chennai, and bangalore.

If you live in bangalore, there is a school which gives right brain/actually whole brain nourishment for children SSY, MET Rishikul Vidyalaya.

In chennai, there is one in Injambakkam - Primrose School. They follow ICSE syllabus(not very sure what board they are), but initial years, they give right brain training..whole brain nourishment is compulsory there...

for pondi residents - http://www.primroseschool.org/ there is another primrose school...they give cisce board..

If you are not living near such schools, you can home train your children for RBT and still put him/her in any board...

__________________________________________

methods: i shall discuss a few in my next post

__________________________________________

ISP means Infant Siddha program, where I think it is a weekend course for few weeks conducted in bangalore, hyderabad (next week it is held in hyderabad) and many places...however there is no ISP courses in chennai.. I think fees is around 4k or so...

Click to see more on ISP program - this contains all right brain training methods..

http://www.ssy.co.in/programDetails.asp?programId=5#

pl click contact us, to see if you are near their training center...note: training is for mom or parents..not for child, you need to train for child..

1. Flash card approach (one portion about RBT) - the info you show in flash card stores in right brain if shown very quickly with few repetitive showing, it stimulates right brain. you can use flash card for language/math/encyclopedia..

for language i used few softwares and home made cards..if you are not in a position to do flash cards, you can buy from http://littlegems.in/...but i didnt buy from them..what i did was i used phoneme  based flash cards - i collected patiently for long time over net from other parents in different parts of country...for example for "ch" the words would be china, chin, chiclet, chew etc., they child would automatically work out its own of cracking phonics..even words unknown to them not showed in flash cards would still be read easily by infants...that is by the time they know all phonemes..

if u type baby arjun 5 month old in google, you will find my son Arjun reading in youtube - at that time he had only memorized and is showing the results you see, but now he has managed to know phonics thru this way, and hence he can read any word.. tht is to show an example...

_____________________________

now math..but if you child is above 2 yr, this method is not working...but you can try...same flash card approach..

same with encyclopedia bits..for example, now my son(2.9yr) knows parts of atom, life cycle of bee, frog, few elements in periodic table, organs of human body, parts of inside of eye, etc..

what i m trying to say is while using such bits, it is better to use in organized fashion - for example i use bunch of parts of computer cards/bunch of human body organs etc.,

plz email me /pm me to know how many times to show etc., i wil explain if you want..

arjunr 2012-01-17 14:11:44

 2. Observation training i havent started with my son Arjun - even if your child has missed bits/flash cards, can still try this..i found this in youtube..Jasenzo user..

you need to create many batches of pictures - one batch can be animals..

now imagine, 5 animals - bear, giraffe, cow, tiger, lion..like a 2 color cartoon, example pink and green..ok? giraffe is divided into 2 half - vertical or horizontal...and each half is filled with pink, other half with green...

now place them on a board..visible to child..all the 5 animals...just let him/her see for 5 to 7 secs

now another set of same 5 animals - just replica..now cut this 5 animals into 2 different colors - pink half and green half..

in another board put one half of animals and mix up other half and give to child; say you keep all pink halfs and give to child green halfs...let child match and complete animal...

this is sort of puzzle..

this method would on long run make child attentive in not only school, but many diff aspects..

arjunr 2012-01-17 14:16:29

 3. to develop memory - flash card approach develops memory..but there is more..

plz see below:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6BBY8jnQ3zE&feature=related

If you find this difficult simply buy memory magic software - I havent started this for my son...

prasanthip 2012-01-17 14:19:08

Wow Arjun! it is really wonderful to know about this.

thank you so much for sharing

arjunr 2012-01-17 14:46:24

 4. precognition / clairvoyance - is huge, cant type here..

arjunr 2012-01-17 14:55:04

 6. singapore children seem to use mandalas - for observation improvement...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8JBRlUpizg

arjunr 2012-01-17 14:56:55

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxdubkpeNK8&feature=BFa&list=ULV9srEi8aZO4&lf=mfu_in_order you can watch all of the videos....she is a mom who is preparing both her kids this way..

arjunr 2012-01-17 14:58:55

well you see the subject is huge, and i have given in bits and pieces what work for me..BTW fast reading can come only after flash cards are done with..that is child should be able to read words..or sentences...then you can start this..

arjunr 2012-01-17 15:04:10

Aruna Raghavan is a pioneer in RBT, she lives in aravanankadu...they are from mumbai..the husband and wife couple gave their life/money and soul to bettement of many children thru RBT approach..they run a school i think cbse syllabus..but for parents they teach RBT...you can contact her...not expensive..

http://www.absolsoftec.com/netact/index.htm

There is also a course on constructivist approach to complement right brain training..
