Hi Sandhya .. for Holy angels T nagar the criteria was the kid should be born between " 1- Aug-2013 to 31 - June- 2014' .. so I assume it will be the same in GS too ..
Hi did anybody knws when they are issuing the admission forms
Hi they are issuing this month end
Do you have any feed back on the school ? thanks
Good shepard,s starandard is more than the sacred heart .. discipline wise its very good...
Good shepherd is known for its overall development of the child with more focus on extra curricular activities. However, last year the school secured State 1st rank in 12th exams. This shows they are the best in academics as well. Their admission process starts early April when most schools would have completed their admission process.
Am an alumini of good Shepherd. One of the best schools. They give equal importance to academics and extra curricular activities.

post 5pm is what they said ..
hi pls let me know which syllabus the school follows
if its samachher is it competitive enough to handle all the exams like entrance for B.E, MBBS and other exams
currently we are in Abu dhabi.here only CBSC in all schools
It follows samacheer . I studied in a CBSE Board and know for a fact that almost all CBSE schools are result oriented only , though there may be a very few exceptions to it and securing a admission in those is a task (demand vs supply) . The schools are not to be blamed as those syllabus requires a considerable amount of time and effort from the students in order to cope up .
I personal felt kids need their space to explore things and to identify their own interest . Who knows , they may not interested in "B.E ,MBBS and others" but rather a entomologist or a sports person and I know for sure any Samacheer board gives them the required space .
Also for the students interested in 'B.E, MBBS and other exams' , there are good coaching centers that prepares them and they have a mixed crowd of students ( CBSE , Samacheer etc ) . May be a student from Samacheer might take a little more time to understand the concepts but I still have my doubts on that as the student interest over the topic will help them succeed well .
So any syllabus is good provided the schools provide overall development .
Again , its just my 2 cents !!
I feel icsc and matric s best than cbsc...c matric s not mugging up now, first understand this parents, cbsc is worst only academic and putting pressure on kids ,no time for other exposure, as if mbbs and B.E students all from cbsc, first give space to kids ,cbsc schools dont give space
Hi Sandhya .. agree with you .. are u still trying for admissions or got any ?
Hi Thanks for all the opinions, personally I agree with u all and we have decided not to put any kind of pressure on our child , but we can not be sure now as to what subject and profession she will be interested in as and when she grows up, so its important to lay the foundation for her , and for that we need to know which syllabus is competitve enough be it for MBBS, or B.E or teaching or whatsoever, also method of teaching matters, I studied in state board(convents) and it used to be mostly mugging up ..but now that we are in UAE and have no other option other than CBSC, when she joins a matric school will she be able to cope up, thats my doubt,
also CBSC schools charge so much which I think is not worth and I want an education which value based..
