Can anyone(parents who r sending their children to Deen's acdemy) share ur experience with Deen's academy? They have started admitting children for the next academic year 2010-2011.

Hi ,

We have got the admission for the next academic year 2010-1011 in Deens for our Kid.Even we are looking for some more reviews on this school from parents whose kids are already in there .

I have 2 kids going to Deens - UKG and 5th standard. We are very happy with the school and would highly recommend it to anyone. The school is child and parent friendly, open and progressive.

Hi, Can someone help me on when to apply for admissions to this school?

anuram 2010-09-21 11:44:53

You may be late, Directly go to the school and check right now.I think they have already started.

My child is studying in Deens(PG) for the past 3 months. These are the good things I found about the school.

1. Very disciplined.
2. Course Material is very good.
3. Transportation is very good. This is the toughest part in any school. Here it is very good.
4. Matrons or the teachers never scold the children.

Hope this is useful.

any comparision with VIBGYOR high marthalli?

anuram 2010-09-22 11:01:44

Hi Teju,

My child is in PG, and it is been 3 months or so she is going to Deens. I just want to

know which school is better. Only one thing I found negative is the absense of individual attention. My daughter does a lot and get a star too, but when she get her sheets home and ask her what did she do, say for example if she has coloured or stick some sequence patterens , I will ask her to explain how she did it. She does not explain it. She is too small, but I teach her a lot at home and picks up fast. I am little concerned about individual attention or something is missing for the amount we are paying.

That is why I want to know if gurukul is better than this.

Teju, Please help me if I am wrong., My daughter has learnt around 10 alphabets in school, but she knows all ,as I taught. I heard from my friend that her cousin, who is in Bright Beginnings, can read sentences. I am confused after hearing this. Did anybody see and tell me whether it works really well.

Thanks ,

Hey Anu,

My son goes to daffodil in white field,he does nt tell me me anything if I ask him.So iam planning to put to a normal school.

He just says i learnt ABCD,one std answer.I dontknow whether i should be concerned or is it fine.A 3 yr old is too young to tell anything,so i am not bothered.

I stay in cititlights and most of the kids in my apts are in deens and everyone is happy. But only concern is that it is not worth the money we pay.

If you look at most of the schools in and around whitefield, they all are expensive then deens(greenwood, inventure, vibgyor and even gurukul). So most of the school promise but dont deliver.

With respect to gurukul, ill chk with my friend, his son goes there. But till now i heard only negative reviews abt the school, probably starting problem.

By any chance u r put up in rustique.

Stay away from deens if you have not taken admission , in case you are an unfortunate one like me whose kid is small and cant change schools so often , sorry for you as well, Deens is going to rob you and the principal is going to give you justification that she is making building and since you joined after 2010 you eed to pay royality to her. Not a great school as well but then even if it is in your neighborhood better still start looking for a different school around in vicinity. this is not exceptional school but an average one , but you end up paying too much for what you get there

Now  a days there is a trend in B'lore to ask exorbitant price for everything starting from maid, any activity class for children, school and what not. All of us are responsible for all this, when 75% people accepts something, they don't leave any scope for others to oppose it.

I am seeing lots of activities coach/tutor which are charging exorbitant money and there is no quality for money charged.  Whenever I request to pay attention n teach something,  standard reply is : You can put your kid somewhere.   weird ???

I had two recent bad experience in last week- There is one coach called "Balraj" coming to our aprt for skating class, his class is only worth in first week of month when he needs to take fees, otherwise he literally pays no attention so that he can earn more money as child has to continue for yrs together to learn the skill.  When I asked him: he said "mam, I can't force children" and if you want you enroll otherwise take your child out. Though everybody has problem with him, people are continuing in dearth of another coach.

Another incident is with drawing teacher ( who happen to be our swimming guard and during off hours he takes various coaching )who has increased fees by 100% since this yr despite the fact that he is very unprofessional and doesn't even compensate for missed class leave alone informing on time for his absent.

we need to spend 3-4k per month just for these classes on the top of exorbitant fees in schools and on the top of that you have to lucky to be satisfied with coaching given. Main problem is  either most of the parents have no time, no value for money or  just satisfied with parenthood by enrolling their children in all classes without seeing the progress.

People think as if  s/w people are earning so much money  and blab blab ...but reality is totally different. we have so much job insecurity and  this generation doesn't believe in saving money hence I am not sure how many of us would be able to lead same standard of life after 6 months or 1 year of loosing jobs ( assuming golden period of s/w industry is gone). For almost all of us everything has doubled in recent 2-3 years though our salaries hasn't even seen 5-10% increment because of recession in last 2-3 yrs.

We need to wake up  and ask for quality and justification of money being charged and there is no best way to show this but rejecting any such demand.

minny 2011-01-19 16:24:06

SSG...i totally agree with you...we bangolereans more price fr everything..n if we question others they say,its ur wish if u wanna buy/join otherwise cn leave anytime..

anuram 2011-01-20 11:27:45

I do agree with you, That  is why we are also planning if our apartment to have more volunteer moms to take classes for childrens. If apartment people are united we can do a lot more for lesser amount. I hope you are near kundananhalli gate. Why not you try for classes at BEML Layout?.
