Are you giving soy milk based formula like simyl mct? You can try mixing the soy formula with nestum for a fuller stomach before sleep. Hold off Ragi for sometime. Ragi is difficult to digest and has to be carefully prepared. Some kids have digestion problem with the husks in the whole grain ragi.

Ragi can be given to three month old babies too. But the procedure of washing it and preparing the drink is important.

The recipe is here

http://indianhealthyrecipe.com/soup-recipe/ragi_soup.html

we can use just water if the baby is milk intolerant.

Hi, I think u better consult his peadiatrician. If it is really toothing pain, give him Teethers that are available in the market... but refrigerate it before giving. Cool teethers is soothing. I've also heard my friends baby was prescribed paracetamol by her doctor.

Hi... As, for semi-solids, veg soups, dhall water(initially in a watery consistency then it could be made little thicker/creamier) , boiled n mashed vegs, boiled apple, orange juice... can be initally started. I have just started giving my 5 1/2 month old daughter with soup n dhall water.  www.babycenter.in has got so  many other tips for indian parents. U can get lotsa ideas from that as well. Thanks.

gilma, If your kid does not have wheat allergy, then you can give some baby rusks/teething biscuits/soupsticks which will help soothe his gums. Another sign for teething is that the baby will be salivating a lot and will be trying to bite all the toys given to him.

There is a special south Indian recipe that is usually prepared and given to children when they are teething.

It is made out of grated coconut.

Please check the coconut snack here
