I liked this school -

the others i definitely know who will take autism kids (mild ones) and of course, you have to judge yourself if you want to tell the school authorities that the kid is autistic or not is this chain of schools - eurokids.

the doctor whom I will reommend very strongly is Dr Deepak Gupta -

Thanks so much for your replies.

Actually my son with Autism is 10 years old and we are relocating to Gurgaon.

We have done biomedical treatment for last 4-5 yrs under US DAN doctors, Dr Neubrander and Dr.Rossignol.

He has improved but still he has Autism  and would want therapies involving ABA, sensory integration, speech and academics.

Any parent group / parents from Gurgaon to guide me more may be on phone or personally. Anybody's child going to any school/ therapy classes !! Personal Experiences !!

Thanks again !!! :)

SOCH is just another money making institution. The Head does not give personal attention to children and has amateur employees providing therapies. even after 1+ year of visits there is no improvement in a lot of kids.

perfect con artists with intention to make money of desperate parents who want their children to move up the learning curve.

could you find any good behaviour therapist in Gurgaon?

Those parents from Delhi NCR can share their experiences here. And let us make a group together.

We shifted to Gurgaon from Mumbai 6 months back. Let me share our experience of therapies/ schools in here so that parents planning to shift here can make a conscious choice. I hear many parents are shifting to Gurgaon because it supposedly gives the best inclusive schools in India. There are plenty to choose from - Heritage, The Shri Ram, Scottish High International, Shikshantar, Pathways, American Excelsior, Shiv Nadar, Maitri Kiran, Vega, HDFC school, Lancers Internationsl, GD Goenka, Pallavanjali and the list is endless. Also let me tell you it is not easy to get through unless you have links with good sources. Plus not all schools can handle the behavioural aspects (if any) of ASD children. Having said that they are doing the best they can and awareness is far better in Gurgaon than in other cities in India. Sometimes being persistent with these schools may help.
Therapies - most schools have therapies (OT, speech and special education and sports too) but you may need to engage external therapies for more improvement. For us language is what we are looking for externally. Here there are two types of speech therapists - 1. Speech therapist who does the initial part of getting sounds and vocalization and 2. Language therapist (mostly special educators) who develop expressive/receptive language (higher level of speech). So you have to choose accordingly.
