Homeschooling in Hyderabad
This is Shailaja. a homeschooling mother of a 16yr old. Any likeminded parents looking to homeschool their children can get in touch with me. My son has finished his IGCSE( cambridge international curriculum) and doing his A levels now.
Right now, we are a group of 3 parents who deiced to homeschool our children and make them sit the IGCSE/ A levels, this May/ June and Oct/Nov.
As we are coming across many parents willing to homeschool their children and looking for curriculum support and practice materials, i thought this would be the right platform to introduce ourselves.
Drop a mail into my mail box and I will be glad to get in touch with you soon.

Dear Shailaja Madam,
From a Hong Kong university, I will be visiting ISB for a year (July 1 to June 30). I wonder if you can offer help for the home schooling of my children (right now they are in class 10 and 6 and will be moving to 11 and 7 in June). We will be staying at the ISB campus at Gachibowli. We would very much like to meet with you at Hyderabad. Also, I'd appreciate it very much if you could leave your contact details at my box. Thanks so much!
I have gone through all the chain of comments below. I have similar questions and will add more.

My daughter is now doing 6th standard and she feels that Homeschooling is better for her and I am also of the same view considering the school environment and related pressures the child is undergoing, but I am not able to grasp the full picture of the system - its curriculum, fees, exam system and acceptability for higher education.

Good relief reading your article. Actually, my family is in pune and planning to migrate to Hyderabad. As i work for a software MNC at Hyderabad. I am seriously looking for 9th grade admission for my kid, either homeschooling or international school. Since, state syl will not match her.
Would appreciate your help and information!
Though schools per Se cater to the international standards in terms of infrastructure, transport facilities, overseas exchange programmes and extra curricular activities, children from abroad find the classroom/teaching atmosphere entirely different.
They are used to approaching the teachers in a friendly/casual way to initiate a discussion for more clarity, but here most of the teachers do no encourage that.
Specially in international schools, peer pressure is playing a vital role, more on the negative than on the positive side.
Students abroad are encouraged to self learning by research, but here the prescribed books are taken as benchmarks for performance. Our children find it difficult to confine themselves to just academic books.
A couple of my friends, one relocated from US and other from UK, are finding it very difficult to meet the demands of the children in terms of unaccounted excess pocket money, buying gadgets etc.,
Also, bullying is a major concern.
I have decided to homeschool my son, because he felt the school he attended did not help him in in achieving goood grades and was confident he can do much better studying at home. Having completed his IGCSEs, he is now preparing for the Cambridge International A levels. He has already completed his AS levels within 4 months of completing IGCSE.
Fortunately, I have a complete team of tutors helping him and other kids. We, parents also contribute to their learning as most of us are qualified.
It is fun to be a part of our child's learning experiences.
If interested, get in touch with me. I will send my personal id to your inbox.
